Man Getting a Haircut

About Us

The C.O.M.B. Foundation was started and founded on the principals of serving to those in need. As an Army Veteran and barber student transitioning from the military to civilian life, I was seeking a way to give back. I began taking notice to the needs in our local community. I saw there was an opportunity to provide haircuts among the displaced veterans in our community.

As I gave it serious thought, my vision became clear. Offering free haircuts to veterans and first responders was the perfect fit for a nonprofit. Combining my skills and my passion for helping others became the inspiration for the C.O.M.B. Foundation.

We believe in being more than just a non-profit; we are an integral part of the community. Our events are a hub where neighbors meet, friendships are forged, and conversations flow as smoothly as the razors. We host community events, sponsor local causes, and actively participate in neighborhood initiatives -- with our focus on giving back to the community.

Our skilled barbers are not just experts with a blade; they are passionate about creating an exceptional experience for each client. They take the time to consult and understand your grooming preferences, ensuring that every haircut, shave, or beard trim is a work of art tailored to your unique style.

Join us in celebrating the art of grooming, forging connections, and building a stronger, more tightly knit community, one haircut at a time. Our goal is to help you look your best, so that you can feel your best, ultimately becoming your best self. We hope to inspire others and help others within our communities and others alike.

Matt - C.O.M.B. Foundation

Matt Wilson was born at Fort Benning’s Martin Army Community Hospital in the summer of 1987. His Dad served our country, and Matt later followed his footsteps. Matt spent his childhood years in southeast Missouri, and then moved to Alabama to be closer to family in 1998.

Instilled in him as a young man, Matt has always been a leader, caring, compassionate, and inspiring to others. Matt  found himself living on the edge the last of his teenage years and decided to join the Army. He joined the military in 2005, and was stationed throughout the United States, as well as all over the world. Matt fought in multiple combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, earning him a Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts.

After retiring in 2016, Matt became a correctional officer with TDOC (Tennessee Department of Corrections) at a maximum security prison. As an easy transition  from one uniform to another, this proved to be challenging and not ideal for his family and his future goals.

In 2018, Matt started his first company; focusing on infrastructure improvements, he procured several contracts with Google during the "fiber boom". Matt's work took him to the Nashville, Atlanta, and Tulsa markets, ultimately landing him in Tulsa where he ultimately planted his "roots".

Matt was an accomplished project manager. But after several years, he wanted a change. After getting to know his community he knew there was something bigger waiting for him. Then...

Matt met Chasity -- the love of his life in 2023. Together they share two daughters, tons of ambitions, and the same values. Chasity was the woman that inspired Matt to get into barbering, and now they both share the love and passion for health and beauty. In 2024, Matt graduated from barbering school and started his nonprofit C.O.M.B. Foundation, along with a team of dedicated and passionate professionals. And the rest is history!
